Week in Review - looking for a little motivation!

GAH!  I'm still feeling so unmotivated!  What is my problem?  Usually these things pass quickly, but the longer and longer I'm dealing with my foot, the less I seem to want to do anything!  But - I'm not wearing this injury well - my jeans are tight (I don't own a scale, so this is my super scientific way of knowing if I've gained weight or not) - when I see myself in spandex I notice a few little lumps and rolls that didn't used to be there.  I'm so disappointed in myself that I'm in this spot.  But...only thing to do is to get moving, right?

So, to enforce a little accountability, I'm going to start listing my previous week's workouts and then also list my goals for going forward.  The shame of having to write down that I did nothing will hopefully get my booty in gear!

So here's my last week in review (Monday through Sunday):

Monday:  Spin class followed by Bodypump class
Tuesday: 2 mile slushy run in the rain/snow
Wednesday: Nothing (boo!)
Thursday:  Jillian Michaels "Banish Fat, Boost your Metabalism" DVD
Friday:  3 mile run
Saturday:  Nothing (boo!)
Sunday:  3.5 mile run

So - nothing spectacular.  The best day of the week was Monday with 2 solid hours of working out.  The runs are short, but I'm hopeful that going forward I can keep adding some mileage on.  I need to incorporate more weights and would also like to do yoga once a week.  On the days when I do short runs I should come home and do another short workout to increase the benefits on those days.  So that's my goal for this week.

Plan for this week:

Monday:  Normally I would do Spin/Bodypump again - but my daughter is sick with a fever/cough, so I couldn't take her to the gym daycare.  I'm going to do Bob Harper's cardio workout and then Ab-Ripper X.
Tuesday:  2 or 3 mile run (depends on foot) - Jillian Michaels Killer Buns and Thighs
Wednesday:  1 hour pool running
Thursday:  Jillian Michaels Banish Fat/Boost Metabalism
Friday: 2 or 3 mile run - Zuzuka light you tube workout
Saturday:  Firm Power Yoga
Sunday: 4 mile run (hopefully if foot is holding up well).

So that's the plan.  I will report next Monday to see how I follow through.  Please please keep your fingers crossed that no one else in this family gets sick - my son is turning 8 this week and I hope he/we are all healthy!

And just to get myself (and maybe you) motivated - here's some quotes from my favorite lady, Jillian...

Happy Monday!

I thought last week looked good:) You will do great this week and I hope everyone stays healthy. The weather can't be helping with motivation. Hopefully the sun will come out soon and you will start to feel better.

Here is to new motivation, goal setting and a great week! I find if I publish my goals and results I do much better.

I have renewed my interest in strenght training and am loving stretching, and just getting started with yoga. I neeeed the flexibility work so much right now.

Good luck with it.

I haven't done any Jillian workouts but I do love Zuzka! You shouldn't say boo to your no workout days...rest days are good for you. I love all the different things you do, I bet it really helps keep things interesting!

I really think this weather isn't helping ANY of us when it comes to motivation!!!! If I could keep up with you, I would offer to go do some fun "destination runs" with you around town. However, you are speedy mcspeedster! lol

Always love Jillian quotes! Not a bad week last week and now you have a new week to keep moving!

I noticed Ab Ripper X so I'm guessing you've done P90X? Just curious how it compares to Jillian workouts?

I have been having a hard time getting motivated this year... I always find that signing up for a race keeps me going when I don't really want to go. Also, I track my calories and seeing how easy it is to go over if I don't work out makes me a little more motivated too! Good luck on this week's training!

love the jillian quotes!

i think we all have times like this, but hang in there...you'll pull out of it! i have been feeling like this a lot lately, my husband too. we're not even sure why...

just hang in there and commit to it, which you've been doing because you're determined!!! i find that my blogging keeps me on track and motivated most of the time, so thanks for that!

I love the puking Jillian quote! Hopefully you'll get your mojo back...maybe as the weather warms up! I feel your pain though.. sometimes when I have a bad run or my hip acts up, I just want to plop myself on the ground and kick and scream!

digging the transformation quote, don't think i've heard that one yet!!!

for me, writing it down in blog land definitely does help with accountability

OH man! I could totally have written the first part of this post. I can't get motivated to do anything, jeans tight, blah blah blah. You are doing way better than I am though so congrats on that. If you find motivation, can you share?
