These are my sisters (my parents kept trying for a boy and gave up after 4 girls!) and on Sunday we are having "sister day" where it is mandated that no boys and no kids are allowed to join. My sisters are so awesome and I love love love spending time with them. With busy lives our time together is getting fewer and farther between, so I'm excited to be able to hang with them for an afternoon.
2) We are in full on hazmat mode in our house due to a lice outbreak at my daughter's preschool. YUCK. ICK.

3) After my "run" on Monday I took my Garmin off and this happened:
The wristband just broke right off! It won't snap back on either, the plastic tab actually broke where it connects. So annoying. I can buy a new band, but I read online that once this happens it tends to repeat itself. I'm getting the new one soon and crossing my fingers it will last a while. I feel naked when I run without my watch!
4) Thanksgiving is here and yum, I'm excited for good food! I'm going to be making this for our extended family dinner on the big day:
We will also be making a dinner at home with just us. I'm looking for some good recipes for kid friendly side dishes. My son is a notoriously picky eater (seriously won't even try mashed potatoes and gravy!), and I'm hoping this year he will eat more than just rolls! So if anyone out there has any tried and true recipes, I'm open to suggestions!
5) I'm a winner!!!! I won a Road ID gift card from the awesome Jill at Fitness, Health and Happiness!
I've been wanting to get a Road ID bracelet for a long time, so this will get my booty in gear to actually do it! Thank you Jill!
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Head on over to Jill's site to join the blog hop and meet other bloggers!

That sucks about your Garmin. Can you return it? I usually buy anything expensive from REI because they have a lifetime return policy.
Um, that dessert looks ah-mazing.
As for good side dishes, try pumpkin mac & cheese. No kid I know turns down mac & cheese!

My garmin band did the same thing! I ordered a velcro garmin band and LOVE IT! It is made by garmin. Ordered it through Fleet Feet Sports.
Sounds like a blast having 3 sisters. You are one lucky girl. We got lice when I was a kid from my cousin who went to day care...not fun! We ran around the backyard like we were Old Yeller, all quarentined...so funny! That apple crisp thingy looks delish, good luck finding something your son will eat. I wish I had a good suggestion but I don't. I found you at the blog hop. Looking forward to following your blog. Have a great weekend. Jessica

Yay for sisters! Have a blast together. I have 2: a blonde and a redhead and I'm brunette--ha!
Ewwww lice. Tis the season I guess. Gross though.
I broke the strap on my Garmin and bought a replacement one online. It's been well over a year and it's still fine...knock wood.
Have a great time with your sisters. I only have one and adore her!
Congrats on the Road ID win! I love mine.
Yeah, those darn lice sure do go around at schools...yukko!
congrats on the road id and i would duct tape the garmin!! :)
Sister day sounds like a great way to spend a Sunday. Sorry about your Garmin. I feel lost when I run without my Garmin. I'm mailing the Road ID gift cards this weekend :)
Oh no hope you get your Garmin fixed,I love my Garmin..well done on the ID win :)
Congrats on the RoadID win! I wish I had a Garmin (I don't own a smart phone either)... it seems like so much FUN to be able to track your run.
Lice, YIKES! I still have nightmares about those pre-school and KDG years!
You are so lucky to have sisters! And so unlucky to be under the threat of lice :P You need to go to fairytaleshaircare.com and get their lice repel products... shampoo and conditioner. It's nice stuff and it really helps keep your kids lice-free. All natural, non-toxic... essential oils based.
Bummer about your Garmin!
One year we did Thanksgiving just us... everyone picked a food they were thankful for. It was a meal of hot dogs, hash browns and strawberries. My husband and I got single serving turkey dinners at Whole Foods. It was super fun and the kids LOVED it.
Thanks so much for popping over to my blog to say hi - I hope you enjoy the smoothie.
Looking forward to following you on your adventures and I can't wait to read all about your Thanksgiving. We don't celebrate it in Australia and I am totally jealous :)
You made me laugh how your son eats just rolls. Mash potato is one thing that I can get my kids to eat - good luck finding something he will eat.
P.S. I sent you a friend request on Daily Mile too :)
sorry about your watch!!! that stinks!!!
also, thanks for stopping by my blog and giving those awesome words of encouragement.
Hope you and your sisters had a great time! Sisters are the best! I have two and one brother. Is that apple crisp in the picture? YUM! It looks good whatever it is.
Yay for winning a giveaway i love winning!
Is that a Garmin 405? Do you love it? I'm seriously considering getting myself one and am trying to justify the cost!
